The view down the valley towards Hartsop 15 minutes in to the walk
Gray Crag. The summit is the one in the distance.
Looking down on the Filter House below Prison Crag from the very steep climb up Gary Crag
Another view down the valley from the ascent of Gray Crag
The ridge in front of Brothers Water is our descent from Hartsop Dodd - and it is much steeper than it appears in this photo
As we near the top of Gray Crag this is the view back down the steep ridge we have climbed
And looking to Hartsop from the same spot
...and Paul admiring the view from the same place.

Looking down Pasture Bottom as we approach the descent to Threshthwaite Mouth

Stony Cove Pike summit (Caudale Moor)
And then the cloud came - this view is looking to Hartsop Dodd from the descent from Stony Cove Pike
Looking across to Gray Crag and probably the steepest dry stone wall I've seen (both at the bottom and the top).

Looking north to Ullswater
Descending Hartsop Dodd
...and from here on the descent is VERY steep but has spectacular views
